Xavier Prats Monné
Special Advisor

Xavier Prats Monné is the president of the Advisory Board of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), and president of the Board of Governors of the Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona, Spain. He is also the special advisor of Teach For All, a global non-profit organization with a mission to expand educational opportunities around the world.

In his former capacity as director-general for education and culture at the European Commission, he was responsible for the educational and cultural policies and programs of the EU (Erasmus, Marie Curie, Creative Europe). As Director-general for health, he was responsible for EU policies and programmes in the field of public health and food safety.

Xavier is a member of the board of the Banco Sabadell Foundation. He is an advisor to Dones Mentores/Women Mentors, a non-profit organisation focussing on to the eradication of gender-based violence. He chairs the Europe Committee of the King Baudoin Foundation (Belgium) and is a senior advisor to Astanor, a venture capital impact investor focused on the sustainability of food systems.
