Vijay Singh Parihar, Ph.D.

Dr. Vijay Singh Parihar is a biomaterial chemist currently working as a Senior Researcher at Tampere University, Finland. He received his Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of Pune, India, in 2016. During his Ph.D. studies, he also worked as an exchange student at Uppsala University and Stockholm University, Sweden. After earning his Ph.D., he worked as a Research Associate at JNCASR, Bangalore, and as a National Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Indore, India. He has been actively involved in polymer synthesis, polymer modification, hydrogel chemistry, drug delivery, and the development of bioinks utilizing a two-step crosslinking strategy. His current research interests mainly focus on polymer synthesis, biomaterials, biomimetic functional materials, tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting, stimuli-responsive bioinks, composites, nanomaterials, and flexible electronics.
